The Center for Cuba Collaboration & Scholarship strives:

  • To continue to promote interest in studies of Latin America, particularly Cuba;
  • To build a program based on a mutual sharing of knowledge and collaborative research with Cuban counterparts;
  • To provide opportunities for academic exchange in an effort to increase the flow of knowledge between the United States and Cuba;
  • To offer unique and enriching educational opportunities for students at The University of Alabama and University of Havana;
  • To encourage research and publication by UA faculty and students;
  • To serve as a leading resource of materials pertaining to Cuba and Cuba studies; and
  • To foster University¬†and community-wide interest in the Center for Cuba Collaboration and Scholarship
